LaBrae Spoils Liberty Homecoming

The LaBrae Vikings showed why they are currently the #4 ranked team in Division 5 as they remained perfect on the season defeated Liberty convincingly, 49-13.

LaBrae (6-0, 3-0) led 14-0 at the end of the first quarter on touchdown runs by Kent Wolford and Colton Stoneman and never looked back as they took a commanding 35-0 lead into the intermission.

Liberty quarterback Migel Burgess would find the end zone twice on runs of 48 and 45 yards in the second half as the junior would finish the game with 167 yards rushing on 15 carries.

Leading the way for the high octane Viking offense that finished the contest with 460 yards was Wolford as the senior quarterback finished the contest completing 11 of his 17 passes for 233 yard and two touchdowns while being intercepted once.

LaBrae was also paced by Stoneman as the senior running back totaled 115 yards on 17 carries and two touchdowns while also throwing for a touchdown and senior wide out Brenton Tennant who hauled in 4 receptions for 138 yards with two touchdowns.

Liberty will look to rebound next Friday as they travel to Champion to take on the Golden Flashes. Kickoff at Champion High School Field is slated for 7:00 PM.
