Leopards set to invade the MVAC; Join YSN

Recently the OHSAA announced that Liberty would be on of five high school teams moving divisions for the 2020 season.

The Leopards, who previously played at the D.VI level will bump up to D.V this upcoming fall.

Also during the fall, Liberty Local Schools Athletics will begin its conference affiliate with the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference, ending its relationship with the All-American Conference.

Created in 2017, the MVAC was formed out of the split of the ITCL with Jackson-Milton, Lowellville, McDonald, Mineral Ridge, Sebring, Springfield Local, Waterloo, and Western Reserve joining on as charter members.

This upcoming fall, Liberty will be joined by the other members of the AAC Blue Tier, Brookfield, Campbell Memorial, Crestview, Champion, LaBrae, and Newton Falls in forming a new tier in the MVAC.

Along with the new conference affiliation, Liberty will join the growing list of Your Sports Network (YSN) affiliated schools.

Founded in 2017 YSN and the MVAC reached an affiliation agreement in the Spring of 2020.
