Liberty Township will be the scene of the biggest game in Trumbull County this week as a pair of old TAC-8 rivals collide in a pivotal AAC Blue-Tier contest.
Ranked #4 in the latest Ohio High School AP Division 5 state rankings, LaBrae will bring a high octane offense that is averaging 55.8 points per contest while only yielding only 34-points total on the season.
The Vikings, however will face their stiffest challenge to date in the Leopards.
Liberty will bring a 4-1 record into their Homecoming contest while averaging 39.8 points per contest while surrendering only 15.2 points per contest.
Led by junior Migel Burgess who has rushed for 437 yards on 33 carries, the Leopards are averaging 358.2 yards of offense a game.
Also helping pace the Liberty rushing attack which averages 305.4 yards per contest are a pair of seniors in Hamad Alhmeed and Jalen McKinney.
Alhmeed has rushed for 340 yards on 44 carries while McKinney has gained 267 yards on 52 rushing attempts for a Leopard team that is averaging 48.3 points per game since their season opening defeat to Struthers.
Leading the way for LaBrae will be dual threat quarterback Kent Wolford who is averaging 210.6 yards throwing and 71.6 yards rushing per contest.
Kickoff at Leopard Stadium on Friday, September 28 is set for 7:00 PM.
